King-size, queen-sized and 2 singles. Bathroom has a full free-standing bath and a separate shower cubicle. Quite big and airy with large frosted glass window.
Private enclosed garden wrapping around 3 sides on the holiday-home with great views of the North-Wales coastline, Snowdonia, Harlech-Castle and Tremadog-Bay. Lovely sunsets. The garden is enclosed but the front gate should be kept closed to prevent dogs escaping. The front wall is 3 foot high. Dogs are nosy and good at getting out of anything, so long leads in the back garden are recommended.
Open plan lounge and dining area with football table, books and games, log burner and TV. Logs, kindling and lighters are available at the Morfa stores across the road at the bottom of the hill. 5 minutes walk....seconds in the car!
Conservatory is a sun-trap and leads onto the garden. Conservatory furniture is also for use outside. Please bring in if raining, at night if possible and at the end of your stay.
Galley kitchen is joined to the conservatory by a large archway so it is a nice space to chat and cook together. Large fridge freezer, microwave, electric cooker and well equipped generally.
Garage and off-road parking: 1-2 cars. The garage can house a car: the A6 (long car) has been parked in the garage but it is tight so passengers should get out first. Then another car can be parked in front of the garage too. See photo below of holiday-cottage and parking (right).

Harlech is a beautiful activity playground. We have the medieval Harlech-Castle to explore which is directly behind the house on top of the hill. 200 metres up the famously steep road that the cottage is perched on. Below us, at the bottom of the hill, is the half mile expanse of sand dunes in which Royal-St-David's golf-course is located. Harlech-Castle was once on the coast line. The coastline is part of the Welsh Coastal path Walk the Wales Coast Path ...so if you have time to trek 870 miles and cover the Welsh North, West and South sea borders, then we are on the path. Harlech-beach stretches for 4 miles of golden sands along the Tremadog Bay. Everything around us seems to be some kind of national park.
There are walking paths up through and around Harlech itself: From the house, up by Harlech-Castle, crossing over Harlech-high-street and up into the fields and countryside. Harlech-high-street itself is becoming more and more of a gem with pubs, cafes, great little shops, convenience stores and a lovely deli. Great for a stroll. Once you get opposite the pharmacy at the other end of Harlech high street, you can turn left up the hill and walk through the countryside.
Greater challenges for hill walking - Snowdonia or, in Welsh, Eryri... Visit Eryri I Snowdonia | Visit Snowdonia. Snowdonia is the view beyond Harlech-Castle from our holiday-cottage and approx. 20 minutes' drive to parking for walking. Try to go early in the summer, it can get very busy.
The Queen's Hotel (and pub) is at the bottom of the hill. It has been recently refurbished. There is a lovely outside garden and terrace with cute little sheds to sit in if it rains. Harlech Castle is directly behind / above so imposing views. Harlech train station is next door so handy for a quick pint before boarding for a trip along the Lyn Peninsula. The food menu is extensive and good quality. Best to phone up and book. Tuesday evening - no food though. It's a popular place so plenty of people to talk to. Dog friendly throughout.
There is another pub at the bottom of the hill, a cafe open during the day and Morfa convenience store (Morfa Stores) which seems to stock everything Morfa Convenience Store | Premier-stores.co.uk. Those are all within a few minutes' walk from the holiday-home.
The holiday-rental has a nice back garden for lazing about, taking in the views. Feel free to use furniture from the conservatory in the garden ...please grab at least the cushions and put back inside overnight, and if it rains and at the end of your stay. Thanks.
